Koh Samui is an island, so you can only get here by plane (its own airport, USM) or by ferry from the mainland. How you plan that last leg decides whether the holiday starts with traffic-jam irritation or with a calm arrival.
Direct flights to Koh Samui run from Bangkok, Phuket and a few other cities, but tickets cost more than mainland routes. The more budget-friendly route is flying into Surat Thani on a bigger carrier and taking the ferry across — slower, but noticeably cheaper, especially for a larger family.
Koh Samui's airport is small, and taxis and transfers wait right outside, but the price depends heavily on whether you negotiate. It's simpler to arrange the transfer with the villa in advance — a driver meets you with a name board, and the price is already agreed.
When you book a villa through us, we arrange the airport transfer in advance — just send your flight details and a driver will be waiting when you land.
